Trying To Conceive Tips

Getting pregnant is a unique experience that most women want to experiment and it is normal to feel frustration when you do not achieve it. In this post, you will read some tips and natural tricks to increases your chances of pregnancy healthfully.

If it is your first pregnancy, you may find yourself wondering if you are fertile or not and it is very common to feel insecurities.  It is perfectly normal that getting pregnant takes a few months. However, if this process is getting longer, you and your partner should check with your doctor to make sure both of you are healthy and fertile.

Concerning fertility, it is fair to say that it is not a women´s issue but men as well. A healthy life and eating healthily will improve the sperm quality, which is fundamental for getting pregnant. Likewise, we recommend you to avoid stress as much as possible.

There are some tips you should take into account when you are trying to conceive.

The first thing you must do is asking for advice to your doctor. Your doctor will tell you if your body is ready to conceive and answer your questions.

It is essential to keep close track of ovulation period. Measuring your BBT (Basal Body Temperature) is an easy and cheap method to know your fertile days. If you would like to read more about BBT and how to measure it, click here .

Sperm can live for three days; so having sex a couple of days before ovulation will increase your chances of getting pregnant. Some people think that not having enough sex will save sperm and make getting pregnant easier. It is a mistake limiting intercourse only when you think you are ovulating because maybe you are not. Likewise, more is not always better; having sex a couple of times a day might cause “burnout”.

Take a multi-vitaminic supplement such as folic acid 3 month before trying to conceive. Folic acid will help you to avoid neural tube defects.

Eating well is fundamental as weight play a significant role in conception; obesity and slimness might limit the possibilities of getting pregnant. Your Body Mass Index (BMI) and your partner´s should be between 18 and 25, so a BMI beyond or below could affect your fertility.

Exercise will help you to burn calories. You can practice mild physical exercise before and during pregnancy like Yoga or Pilates or you can walk daily.

Avoid tobacco, caffeine, alcohol and drugs. Likewise, your partner should avoid them too so sperm will be plentiful and healthy. A healthy sperm needs time so if you are thinking about getting pregnant, it is important to reduce or avoid these bad habits 3 months earlier before trying to conceive.

Keeping an eye on the cervical mucus will help you to figure out when you are ovulating. Cervical mucus is a fluid secreted by the cervix. Before ovulation, the texture of the mucus is clearer and slippery.

If you o not achieve pregnancy, do not worry as anxiety does not help at all. Actually, stress affects fertility. We are aware that trying to conceive can be a stressful process, but try to remain positive.

After intercourse, lie in bed with for feet in the air for 15 to 20 minutes so sperm will get into the cervix more easily. If you stand up quickly or you go to the bathroom sperm will fall out.

Fertility Friendly Lubricant

Some women experience vaginal dryness because of stress, among other factors, so they use personal and homemade lubricants but these lubricants are proven to have negative effects on the fertilization process; they block viability and mobility of sperm creating a barrier so the sperm does not swim up through the cervix and should be avoid when you are trying to conceive.

But there is a Fertility Friendly Lubricant called Conceive Plus which is formulated for couples who are trying to conceive and it is safe for sperm. If you would like to read more about Conceive Plus, click here.
